For all my actor friends and readers, here is the updated SAM’s list for 2015.
This is gold for actors, and I expect you all to respect it as such. Don’t just copy and paste it or pass it around. Pass it along to people that need to know only. To others out there whom are doing the research and running into dead ends on their own. Research is a rite of passage for Actors. This town is vicious and will eat you up in one swallow, and if you aren’t even willing to do the research to find these things on your own, then the satisfaction of that breakthrough isn’t just. We are actors. We want to know everything about everything and at all times. It’s just the nature of it. But alas, here you are, and you’ve been looking for a list of the top 58 theatrical agents in town. For actors, being with a top Agency means everything. You don’t have to have an agency to make it in this town, but if you decide to go that route, then there are a select few out of the thousands that you want to be with.
So how do we know which agency’s are within those select few? Well, there’s a secret list alot of us actors on the inside live by, and it’s called SAM’s list. According to my sources this is the most updated list “and only list planned for 2015” that is making the rounds. Here is the list, with each tier broken down into groups. If you find yourself lucky enough to sign with any of these 58 agencies, do what you can to make your agent proud and paid, because you are amongst the lucky ones, the cream of the big ass crop that is Hollywood agencies. There are literally over 1,000 currently active agencies to put that into perspective for you. Good luck, and here’s the list. Remember, as an actor, your job is to live truthfully under the given imaginary circumstance…so even if everyone tells you you’re dreaming…who cares? That’s what we get paid to do! Carry on.
A LIST – CREAM OF THE CROP (Don’t bother unless you have had several billboards, magazine covers, and more)
The very next tier – Again, most people at Ralphs should probably know who you are.
Greene and Associates
Then you’ve got your respected Boutique agencies. These guys are smaller than the big guns, but extremely selective. They rep the clients that always go out, and almost always book
Amsel-Eisenstadt & Frazier
Bauman-Redanty & Shaul
House of Representatives
And finally you’ve got the bottom tier rounding out the top agencies. – These are the guys that book around 50% of the time. Great agencies all of them, and if you are with one of them, you should consider yourself blessed.
